Disguised Book Bank

Updated: Feb 12, 2020

This super cool book bank is a sneaky way to hide your things from prying eyes.

This fun craft is just the thing if you have money or valuables you want to keep safe. No one will suspect this cool craft!

What You Need:

-Old book

-Unsharpened pencils

-Unused erasers

-Mod podge

-Paintbrush

-Thick paper

-Sharp knife or box cutter

-pencil

-ruler

-glue stick

-hot glue gun

Instructions

The first thing I did was to rip out the title pages from the old book. The next thing I did was to use the pencil and ruler to draw a box around the text on the first page.

The next thing I did was to take the sharp knife as well as a pair of scissors and cut the rest of the pages this way. This step takes a little longer without a box cutter, but with patience and determination, it's possible without one.

Next I took the mod podge and spread it over the pages using the paintbrush, sticking them together. About halfway through I switched to a glue stick just to see what would happen. Either one works.

The next thing I did was to take some of the cut-out pages and glued them to the bottom of the hole, directly onto the inside of the back cover. When this was done I closed the book's cover and set a heavy book on top it while it dried.

When it was dry, I measured and cut out a piece of heavy paper to match the book's dimensions. I then cut out the square in the middle and glued it onto the top page in the book.

I then focused on the book's cover. I glued two pieces of paper to the cover of the book, one on top of the other. I also glued a skinny piece of paper to the spine of the book.

Finally, I hot glued two pencils and some erasers to the paper to make it look like some school supplies were randomly scattered across the surface.

And there you have it! A cool hidden Book Bank!
